Inhabited as early as the 16th century, this humid city's landmarks include the Sulphure Spring Water Tower and the Babe Zaharias Golf Course.

Popular in the 1990s for Jook music, a variety of Southern hip hop, several artists from Tampa such as Khia, Tampa Tony and Rated R have gained national recognition over the years.
