A maritime city at its core, San Diego also features several historic ship exhibits, including the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum, which is built around the USS Midway aircraft carrier.
However, more conventional tourist attractions are also to be found in and around San Diego. From SeaWorld San Diego, to the Belmont amusement park and the famous San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park, there are a lot of destinations for the whole family to enjoy. Comic-Con, and the Street Scene Music Festival are two annual events that you should not miss.
Perhaps one of its most unique attributes, San Diego also has a rich skateboard and surf culture, making it the ideal destination for anyone interested in learning or enjoying either of these past times. Proud of its diverse cuisine, the city also features an abundance of wood fired California-style pizza places, as well as Mexican and East Asian cuisine.
